No you can't give a dog ibuprophine nor tylenol.

NEVER give your dog any over the counter medication without first consulting a vet. You could kill your dog or cause liver/kidney damage. If the eyes are swelling and the dog is in pain contact an emergency vet

NO!!!!! Those types of medications are based on HUMAN statistics. There are plenty of doggy pain relievers out there, just check petsmart! However, the more serious of issues is that your dog may be seriously injured in a way that you cant recognize. I reccomend taking your dog to the vet immediately and asking for medication there. I hope your baby gets better!!

You really should take the dog to the vet. Just to make sure that there is no damage to the eye itself. Then if needed the vet can prescribe a proper pain killer. You should never give your dog any medication unless prescribed by a vet.

Absolutely NOT - I have been advised first hand my my vet to NEVER give a canine IBP!! It is very bad for a dogs liver....

If the eye still looks "messed" up tomorrow I would take it to a vet.... In the mean time, try childrens aspirin... that is safe - follow the weight chart...

Good luck and hope your dog is okay!!

Oh - just read your update... take it to an emergency vet!!!!

NO, ibuprofen can cause liver damage. If the eye is swollen, you need to see a vet to make sure there was not damage done. They can prescribe something safe for pain.

Ibuprofin can cause severe GI ulceration in smaller doses and liver failure in larger doses.
Tylonol cause thinning of blood and bleeding, so it is also very dangerous for animals.
If you think your dog is painful enough for pain meds, he should see a vet.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - dogs are highly allergic to IB profin. If you are concerned about your dog, try an ice pack and a trip to the vet.

IBprofin is considered poison to a dog, and would kill it. You should take the dog to the vet to get proper treatment.

Please do not give your dog ibuprofin. I have read that there is a chemical in certain pain medications that can poison them. If your dog is in that much pain then you need to take it to the vet.
