No, I think it's pathetic if you have to meet anyone over the internet.....but that's just me....Also, you can't trust a screen...The person on the other side could be some phyco pathic killer, who knows? It's just odd....I would never do it.

Yes, I have. But we all live very far away from each other, and because of our age it's nearly impossible to meet in person. The people I've met and I email almost every day, and they give even better advice off the Answers page! But I've also met some creeps by doing that. This one guy wanted to know, like, every detail about me and where I lived and whatnot, so you have to be careful. Oh, and you can't forget the guy who wanted to call me and talk about shins all night! But I think I may have lead him on, so I guess you also have to be careful what you say and make sure they know you are joking and this and that. But I've met Lauren, Ethan, Courtney, Mike, and the list is sure to grow! <3

yes i have met someone on here and it kind of took us both by surprise considering neither of us were looking. we've emailed and IM'd and we've talked on the phone quite a bit. we have not yet met in person, but we are planning to do so. i don't think either of us will be fooled or surprised because it would be a long way to travel for that to happen... i live in the US and she lives in the UK. we're not young kids and we've lived through similar experiences... and we both have a feeling about each other. there's no other way to explain it.
there's no desperation here, nothing pathetic about us or how we feel. i understand that the internet can be a dangerous place but with the right supervision and education, everyone can be safe.

Yeah, but if I can't get in my car and drive no more than a half an hour or so to meet her, then it ain't gonna happen. Besides, there's only one woman I've met online that I've even come close to meeting in person, and luckily I was able to determine ahead of time that she was a complete nut.

Not really, it's hard to know who they really are if you don't know what they look like or practically anything about them. I'm afraid to meet anyone on here because I hear horror stories of young gilrs being kidnapped and killed cause they met in person someone they met online. I don't know if I'd really do that.

Nope not in Yahoo Answers, but Yahoo Games, yes... I met these two guys from a game on yahoo when i found out they lived near my area. We all decided to meet each other. But we werent planning to hook up or anything. I never saw this one dude's pic but i still met him anyway, but i talked to him on the phone. Anyway everything went well. We hung out together twice.

not in person but just as friends shes cool evrything is going good but it not like were gonna go out so yeah im not reall fooled as far as i know but only time will tell i am surprized she actually talks to me like a human being im in the military and we get treated like animals all the time. and yeah

only wish, have been stuck in car answers for my sore but paid for car, GOTTA BELIEVE, there's someone somewhere, am so weary of relationships since husband left me, and yet, God does have a strange way of making things happen, yes, if He wills, it can happen even here!

no, I haven't. Ive met people online though. I wouldnt be with the person i am now if it werent for that. we have been together for over a solid year.
