If you are religious, please give me your personal opinion, not that of widespread religion. If you're not, than I'd be happy to hear a theory of how the world was created.

I've read the bible but know that it is used only to convey general messages like god created the world and the world is good. The details in it don't count- the first two creation stories contradict each other, proving it can't be literally correct- so i don't see it as the answer to my question.

The "Big Bang" is not a theory of how the world was "created." We are quite sure how our planet came to be, and quite sure of when it came to be -- no "creator" found or needed, no "why," and only related to the Big Bang in that there had to be universe or our planet could not have been.

Some 9 billion years AFTER the Big Bang, enough time for many generations of massive stars to have formed, burned their nuclear fuel for millions of years, and burned out by going supernova, hydrogen gas in our part of the universe got a little gravitational bump and began to collapse. One point became the focus of the collapse, gravitationally pulling more gas and stellar debris (from those aforementioned supernovae) towards it, growing quickly. As material was pulled in it swirled in orbit of the focus, holding its angular momentum. The vast reserves of hydrogen that gathered formed our star, the sun -- the "dust" and debris formed the planets. As the heavier elements were closer to the sun due to gravity, our planet is mostly heavy materials as is Venus and Mercury. As the sun settled down into stabilty, our formed planet went through violent volcanism, tremendous impacts from remaining debris and comets in the solar system (which also delivered water), and also began to settle down. Through billions of years of natural evolution in a stable solar system, it became the "world" you know today.

None of that is "theory." It is all backed by mountains of evidence, and not a single piece of evidence has ever been found that shows it to be wrong. No creator, no "why," just the natural processes that occur as solar systems form. We can see the same thing happening today in other newly-forming solar systems.
That IS how it happened. No matter what creation myths from old books people cling to (without evidence), no matter what they "think," that's how it happened. Anyone who states otherwise is either ignorant or lying.

Peace.

To these questions, I refer you to some of the best science/history books on the early beginning and development of the universe and life itself, as revealed by scientific inquiry:

Steven Hawking's A Brief History of Time (illustrated version is better)

A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson

Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species

Just because physicists can't yet pry open the secrets behind the Big Bang and possibly never will (scientific laws may have been different) does not make it any easier to say that some overarching intelligence created everything, especially an earth-centric male described in many religious texts.

It's exhausting to explain this to hardcore theists over and over again. The universe is bigger than all of us could have imagined. If there's a god, then fine, but don't expect it to fit inside our little boxes about human faith.

according to the bible in the book og genesis, God spoke and the world was created in 7 days.

God wanted for the world to be inhabited and than after Eve ate the forbidden fruit, sin entered the world.

You can find this in the book of Genesis in the Bible.

I hope this helps.

If you want an orignal opinion about the creation of the world, you should read "Gods Debris" by Scott Adams, its a free eBook.

His radical theory is basically that God exploded a long time ago and us and the earth and everything is his debris, and we live to combine into him once more.

Seriously you should read it its a good theory

Jesus Christ, or Jehovah, through the divine investiture of the Father, created this earth and countless others for the express purpose of furthering the progression of man from spiritual form to a resurrected, perfected immortal being.

This Creation was done by His Word; how exactly everything came together is only speculation at best.

I GUESS NOT BUT THATS ALL WE CAN BELIEVE FOR now that is.....

It was an elasti-kinetic particle density stretch that keeps collapsing and returning much like a bungee cord.
The earth is a pebble in this reaction. It was formed and ground out to specifications.
Particle physics and laws could not happen without rules.
"Things" just do not happen on their own.

Simple. Who knows?
Simpler yet, does it really matter today?

Wow. Well I am not religious.I have a relationship with the one true Living God,And I will not give you theory. Theories are for people that do not want God to be God.They want anything but a Big God over their life.Anyway you know what I believe:God spoke it into existence to have relationship with His creation.

Created by God in 6 days, and the 7th he rested from all his works
Created for mankind to live on, also the animal kingdom, for us he loved us
It is a true work of art, beautiful in all
I think he was thinking that he would not be lonely and that we would love him............

It's like a computer. God had his own special html coding and he made us and everything else. Lots of shiny graphics and backgrounds. However, I think he may have gone a bit overboard...
