Generally this term refers to books/novels written in the Christian tradition with Christian values and beliefs at the core of the theme. CS Lewis' works for instance. One may use the themes included as models for Christian thinking on a spiritual level rather than secular.

Simply put they make one THINK.

unfortunately to answer this question would require me reciting my entire history of literary theory that i, coincidentally, just took the final for today. so im shot.
but i can tell you that so many of the classics deal with chritianity and how, why, it should apply.
start with St. Augustine's "On Christian Doctrine." it deals wit hexactly what you are asking. seriously, your question sounds like the prompt for a thesis on it
