games would be... playing outside, going to the park, eating a bunch of pop sicles and make fun crafts, drawing, painting, games actually depends on what the family has.. you shouldn't have to go buy your own games for the kids when you are baby-sitting them at their house.
snacks... get a "cooking for kids" cook book and get some fun recipes and make them with the kids... you can bring the stuff for those. just have fun with it!!
and really... baby-sitters should be paid $7/hour and 1-2 dollars per additional child.
have fun!

I would suggested that each child bring their favorite movie and toy to share. Each week pick one child to do this...
Also Have favorite snack day.... Oranges, Banana's Popsicles, grapes, snack type crackers and again each child gets a turn to bring a favorite snack for the class. Also sign up at Free Cycle com.... People in your home town are giving away toys all the time for free....
here's the link: You'd be surprised what people want to get rid of for nothing or next to nothing..

well since you only get $3 an hour all you have to do for snacks and games is to find the cheap stuff. You dont always have to have the name brand stuff because the off brand is just the same thing except a different name!

Ask the parents to provide snacks on a daily basis for
their child. As for games you can go ask at a children's
aid society if they can donate some to you. You can also
ask your neighbors to donate any games their children
don't use anymore. Or raise money by selling icees or
lemonade or water bottles at the park or in the neighborhood.

A good suggestion is to only babysitt at the child's home. Also, there is nothing wrong with asking parents to bring snacks and things for the child to do.

the dollar stores have big packs of butter cookies for $1.00 and other boxes of crackers and stuff for $1.00. You dont need to spend money on games at all. depending on their age you can play ball, duck duck goose, sing songs and dance with them, You could spend a few dollars at the dollar store if you wanted to buy a couple of games.
good luck!
