No, at 19, it's not lame. It's endearing and at least she'll know for sure you don't have VD. j/k :)
I think if a cute guy is still a virgin then it's sweet. I can't imagine any girl laughing at you for that and if she does, you probably wouldn't want to hook up with her anyway.

It's not like it's part of your identity that you have to explain to people when you first start seeing them.
I was seeing someone who I definitely didn't think was a virgin, but it never came up in conversation. She was so incredibly hot and nice that I just knew there was no way, and it didn't bother me that she wasn't a virgin. Then one day she tells me that she's a virgin! It was strange.
Did I think she was lame? No way. I thought it was very cool. We had a great relationship. Eventually she broke it off, but those were for the most part happy times.
If you're seeing someone and it gets to the point where you're going to have sex, great. Why would it be bad if you were a virgin? Less chance of her getting a disease!
To some girls, you're considered gold. Now, don't go wasting your seed on some tramp. Unless you want to of course.

If a girl thinks you're lame because you're a virgin, then SHE'S lame. There's nothing wrong with sex when it's at the right time with the right person, but just because lots of people do it at your age doesn't mean everyone should.
I think if you wait until you're with someone who cares about you, who won't judge you or the fact that you're inexperienced, you'll find that she'll be honored to be the first person to share that with you.
If you only see it as a hinderance, something you want to get rid of without any emotional attatchement to it, post a personal ad for a single, older woman to help you out. She'll probably also be able and willing to teach you how to please a woman, instead of just popping your cherry.

Yes they will think your lame. When you say the word virgin, what do you think of? Inexperience, non adventouros etc comes to my mind. Think thats what girls like in a man? Inexperience? hah
By the way, one girl called you "cute". I would have walked away from her right then, FRIENDS are "cute". You want hot, sexy, a man. Dude its easy, shoulders back, chin up and smile 95% of the time. Its like an aura that is emitted off of you that subconsiously people notice, including girls. Confidence comes in many other shapes and forms but this is just a instant 'boost' if you will. Good luck

I think it's just sad that people think it's embarassing to tell her that and that it's frowned upon or whatever that you're still a virgin. Society is ridiculous, I swear. Do tell her. Because that is freaking adorable. Any guy who told me he's still a virgin that's with me would make me that much more attracted to them because that is beyond sweet. So, yes, go ahead. :)

Naw, I saw an episode of 7th Heaven where everybody at the high school found out that Simon was a virgin and then the girls were all over him because they thought he was a nice guy who they could date with no pressure. That's just an example.

I'm 20 and I'm still a virgin and I'm female but I don't go around telling guys that becuz I know that they will only want to date me becuz they want to be the one who will change my life. Even if I wasn't a virgin I know they will still come after me becuz they would think that if I did it once I wouldn't have a hard time doing it again. That's why I don't tell a guy I'm a virgin unless they ask becuz I don't want them to get the wrong idea about me. I know some of them can tell becuz I carry myself well. Sometimes when I'm talking to a guy I like I do want to tell him becuz I know it will make him respect me more and probably stick around a little longer but I don't use this to get a guy to like me. I want him to like me for me not becuz I'm a virgin. I know that is apart of who I am but I don't want it to be the only reason he sticks around. I say keep it to yourself no one has to know your business.

Of course not! If a girl laughs at you for being a virgin, then she isn't worth your time. You just have to find someone who respects and understands that you're still a virgin. (Maybe another virgin?)

Keep your virginity--it's a trait that everyone wants, but doesn't realize that they probably won't find a "perfect" someone who is a virgin also.
And you'll save yourself a TON of trouble later on in life with all the AIDS- and STD-related things going on.
