It has nothing to do with a lack of calcium. I have the same thing and people tell me I should drink more milk, but I drink at least 2 or 3 pint of milk a day.

these are called half moons and everybody has them,my nan used to say to me because my nails were long and narrow havent you got lovely moons,its not a calcium defect its quite normal but why we have them im unsure on that one.x

not sure what its called but it goes to show your nails are healthy if you have these moons on the fingers so not to worry .
