My cat didnt have any food in his bowl and was scratching at the bag for some.I got up and poured some in there for him.I left to do my own thing when he went in the laundry room(where we keep all of the animal food)and started scratching again.I told him to quit and left. Then he went back scratching again.I filled it up to the top and left. Then he started again.I put the food up high, but he just keeps meowing and scratching. Please tell me what is wrong

LOL He's just curious about the bag! My cats do that too. I finally got a big plastic tub to keep their food in.

take a Paper bag and put it in the floor so he can walk in it... some cats love getting in a bag ... or place a box on the floor.. it is something for them to play with

Is the cat de-clawed? If so, cats without claws "buff". Cats with claws will scratch when they want attention (or just to sharpen their claws). In you're case, food was not enough. He wants you to pay attention to him.

The cat just wants to mess with the bag.
