No.

He's a dog.

Dogs eat raw meat all the time and unless the meat was spoiled he should be fine.

It won't hurt him. Just keep an eye out, if he ate too much volume-wise, he may upchuck it.

I had a friend with a Black Lab who jumped on the table and ate an entire 5 pound raw roast. Dog couldn't move for 24 hours!

On the other hand ...
We used to make homemade dog food for my brother's Lab/Chow, Sam. He would NOT touch raw meat. Would only eat it cooked with his kibble.
My bro's place has tons of marmots and rabbits. Sam was a natural hunter and one day came back with a kill. Didn't have a clue what to do with it. So Bro gutted it out and gave it back to Sam. He just looked at it, still no clue. It wasn't until the carcass was fully cooked on the BBQ that Sam ate up.
As Sam got into advanced old age, he developed a taste for roasted garlic.
LOL Doggy garlic breath !!

Your dog will be fine. He might get diarrhea but that will be the worst of it. If he does get diarrhea try giving him a small amount of canned pumpkin (plain, not the pie filling) and it should help.

Many, many people feed their dogs only raw meat because it's the most natural food for a dog, but there can be some upset stomach issues even in these intentional cases during the transition.

No. Dogs in the wild eat raw meat all the time. Wolves and coyotes for example. Domesticated dogs are the same way. Unless the meat was spoiled, he'll be just fine.

My Lab once ate a pan full of uncooked beef ribs. He was 8 months old then. He is now 3 years old and 100 pounds. To answer your question... he should be fine but he may have a case of diarrhea. I would just keep my eye on him to make sure if he does that he keeps drinking lots of fluids so that he doesn't get dehydrated. Next time if you are going to leave something out put it in the microwave so he can't reach it. That's what we have had to do :o)

Especially finigan that claims to be a 4th year wet student

The case of Alabama rot was due to meat that had gone bad.

If hamburger was killing dogs there would be no greyhound racing or adoptable greyhounds, they eat raw hamburger daily along with kibble and veggies in order to keep them lean muscular

If that hamburger was safe enough for your dinner it is more than safe enough for your dog and I am sure he enjoyed it and will be checking out the kitchen counters in the future hoping you leave him more goodies, try hiding inside your microwave next time

But.................. like any sudden food change especially too much at once, their is a chance he will may vomit but greater risk is diarreaha, if he does develop make sure to have lots of water for him to frink to prevent dehydration and withdraw food for 24 hours to give the bowels a chance to settle down , and you should then be able to feed as normal again

Raw hamburger or raw meat of any kind will not hurt your dog at all. Meat is a natural food for dogs.

Dogs do not get worms from raw meat.

No the dogs intestinal track and digestive system is much different than humans...Many dog owners actually feed their dogs RAW or BARF diet...(you can search that on line..it may comfort you) he may "get the runs" but only because it is something that he has not had before. He should be just fine.

I feed my dogs raw 100% of the time and they absolutely thrive. A lil bit of diarrhea should be the only problem and that is only because his stomach is not used to a diet of raw meat.

Don't worry about it ! Your pup will be fine.

Check out www.barfworld.com Barf = bones and raw feed
and
www.switchingtoraw.com Might ease your mind on ur pup eating the raw meat! Good luck
