The water will freeze around all the outer surfaces first so the fish will be suspended inside he bowl as it freezes.

I'm assuming you mean 0 degrees C not F. Water will always freeze first ... the fish's body fluids contain dissolved salts etc. and will freeze at below zero. If the bowl is large enough, it might only freeze on the top like a lake and the fish could continue to live in the water below.

It's a lot simple question Buddy..
There are 2 possibilities..
1) If the fish you are talking about is a polar fish, then it will survive. (Note that at zero degree celcius, water freezes no doubt, but only the surface, which is exposed. The water inside this will remain liquid, since Ice acts as an insulator. As the fish is polar, it can with-stand cold temperatures.)
2) If the fish is a normal one, then sadly, it dies... (Not frozen, but due to cold in which it cannot survive)

Pure Water WILL NOT freeze. It is the contaminates in water that cause water to become frozen. The fish itself is considered a contaminate. The Fish and the water would crystallize and freeze at approximately the same rate. To raise the body temperature the fish would swim which would cause the water to freeze at an above normal rate, therefore suspending the fish in the ice. By nature fish swim down as the water gets colder.

Not sure, but if you put a fish in a bowl of water and leave him in the sun for an hour, he'll boil.
Soooo my mother's fault.
