i would love to be able to teach children how to do things such as kyaking, rock climbing, map reading, etc.
I have no training or qualifications and the salary is no problem, just want to do someting i enjoy and to me job satisfaction is more important than the money..

...Hey Smile, dont know where your from but there is an organisation in Scotland {uk} called Fairbridge Drake, who take mostly poor inner - city kids into the countryside and teach them all the stuff you mentioned, The bonus for me was
to "crew"on a real sailing ship, the "Spirit of Scotland"... having of course completed a few day taster courses and a long weekend course first...a great experience......theres bound to be stuff in your area that you can get into...good luck.

For adult training you need to be qualified so get yourself to plas y brenin or such like and get qualified. Courses are good fun too.

For kids you could try joining PGL or helping out at scout clubs etc and pick up the skills along the way that will help you develop a "career" on outdoor pursuits. Or you could try these overland adventure companies and see if they take seasonal staff with no experience other than enthusiasm!!
