I would give you the advice to just stay away for awhile because from experience with that issue, I can assure you that it isn't good when you mess with a person who still has feelings for their "other". Because in the end it can be that you get cheated on or feelings hurt. so give it sometime! there's a person for everyone, promise!

Wait it out as a friend. If you try to start somethig while she still has feelings for an ex, you're setting yourself up to be a victim of rebound roulette. Go on a few dates with other girls, so that you don't get too obsessed. Also, for her to see you dating, will let her know that she can't use you as a tool. Don't give up on the friendship though. However, she needs time to see you as a true interest.

you must definetly give her some space. she needs time to get over this guy. it wouldnt hurt for you to lend a listening ear. assure her that he is not the only guy on the planet. tell her how nice she loks and how she could have other great guys in her life. she may then start to go for you then.

You should just take it slow and become really close friends with her, show her how much you care about her, and hopefully she will eventually move on and realize that all along she's had you! Good luck!!

You back off, and give her time..you be her friend with no expectations..even if you do like her.
