If it was an elderly person or a friend in need,I would do it gladly. "God will pay you back".

Have you been drinking? English is a very strong language and you seem to have a basic grasp of it.

I would imagine,
1. If someone offered me a lift I would always offer petrol money, dependent on distance, usually they say no thanks so I will get a round of Cokes at the first stop. Or create a communal smoke.(if they were smokers)
2. If I gave a lift to someone who was more of an acquaintance than a friend and it was a long way I would expect to be offered petrol money and maybe I would take it, maybe not but if it wasn't offered I would ask for it and if the passengers took offense then they could walk.

A one time ride that is hardly out of your way, I would not ask for gas money. If you pick someone up everyday (like for work or school) the person should offer you gas money.

If you aren't driving to far out of the way and if you aren't doing this just once or twice, it is very rude to ask for money. Don't offer if you not going to give willingly.

I agree. I can't tell if YOU are upset because someone asked you for $ or if you don't understand why someone else is upset when you asked them.

Get a proper sentence together in English and perhaps you'll have better results with your question.

I think it is rude. I dont think I would take it even if it was offered to me. Even if I could not afford it.

Maybe you should learn English first, then repost your question.
