Why do some guys play mind games?

Question

Why do some guys end up liking girls that have a boyfriend?
What is it about a girl that isn't available that makes a guy
interested, or is it based on looks?
And why do some guys play mind games and act like
they want to be friends, and go out places and they don't come visit, or go fishing? Incidently, they all work together, and have made it a point to say I am too pretty/beautiful for him. It
seems like they want to lure me away from him, I am hoping at a friendship level only, because I don't mess around.

There's a certain sexiness and beauty of the unattainable... the girl that you can't get, not because of you, but because of her. I flirt with my friend Rochelle all the time because she'd NEVER date me - we're both in committed relationships. There's no fear or risk, because we're both unavailable physically (if not emotionally).

I call it male ego, if didn't nobody want you or have you they probably wouldn't give you the time of day, but since you have someone that don't look good enough to them they probably feel that they can take you away from him.Then again if you fall for their mind tricks then they have something to tell their friend that you are messing with them, they are just jealous and don't feed on their bull----. You don't even want to be friends with them, just let them be your boyfriend, friend and respect your mate. Keep your head up high and be yourself and respect yourself.

when i asked her, she said she has a bf........then i replied: glad to hear that. good for you. i respect that and minded my business... after a few days I've heard from a friend of her, that she doesn't have a bf..........she said she has a bf just to make me jealous and try to win her from him......
