I am a very clean person. Can't stand to have dirty hands. In the past month or two I developed a bump near my cuticle. It was very itchy. It went away but now I have one on my other hand in the same spot, and one on my toe. They do not hurt but do itch and are very annoying. They seem to appear over night and right around where the nail meets skin. One is a little further away from the nail. I have not been in contact with anything poison as far as I know. They are hard bumps almost like a knot, but no bigger then the diameter of a slurpy straw. They are red in color and seem to itch more at night time. The skin appears to be shinnier where the bumps are. I have tried hyrdocortisone, baking soda, benedryl, peroxide, alchol, but nothing makes them go away or stops the itch. Eventually the first bump I developed went away on its on after 4 weeks but the skin where is appeared it still itchy and still shiny. From the time the first one appeared to the second one was about 3 weeks. HELP.

It seems to be the psoriasis. I have this condition but the bumps only come out from time to time.
You better go to the doctor to have diagnosed for sure.

r they sore? r your hands periodically cold and/or turn white-ish or blue-ish? i think you need to bring this to the attention of your Dr. this could be an underlying symptom of something more serious. look up calcinosis on the web.

They may be warts. sounds gross but they are pretty common. It's best to talk to your doctor so that they can diagnose you. Maybe you are washing too much?

they could be small mites which attack the skin. go see your doctor as you may need antibiotics to clear them up.
