I don't understand why they think that telling a lie about something like that makes for a better argument?
Abortion is a legal medical procedure. Most usually, it is the removal of a zygote or an embryo from a woman's uterus. If you don't like abortions, or don't want one, that is your choice. DON'T HAVE ONE.
Call a zygote a "baby? Call an embryo a "baby"?? Then, call it a sofa or a race-car! Give it any name you want. It doesn't change what it is. And, it is NOT a baby. People freeze embryos by the MILLIONS in this country alone. Would you drop a BABY into a DEEP FREEZE as your property, to use later, whenver you wish? OF COURSE NOT. A REAL BABY WOULD DIE if you dropped it into liquid nitrogen for cryogenic freezing!
You can't have it both ways...you can't define and embryo as property for freezing one day, and a "baby" the next day...
And christians cryogenically freeze a lotta embryos!
Why can't you leave other people to their own lives?
WHY LIE?

Paul below said (among other "things"): By the time a woman knows she is pregnant, the developing child is already in the fetal stage.
Paul, that was very uneducated and sophomoric. Women usually know within a few short weeks that they are pregnant, because their menstrual cycle has stopped. plus, women are actually pretty self-aware of what is occurring inside their bodies. Yeah, they're a lot more intelligent and in-tune with themselves that most guys like you would prefer to believe...
so Paul, go back to your kick-boxing show, and your beer-stained wife-beater t-shirt, and talk about how many Iraqis that Dumbya Bush should kill this week -- because THOSE lives don't matter, do they...?
Yikes! Where do people like you come from???

Proud Whatever said: "Because we believe that every person has a soul. Most pro-"choice" people have an anti-supernatural bias, and so they don't have to worry about sending a soul into the afterlife. At the moment of conception, an embryo is given a soul"
HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT???? LOL!!! People like you, who state this kind of ethereal nonsense, as if it were fact, AGAIN, you have to lie to make a point. Yuu don't know when a soul is transferred into someone! You don't even KNOW if a soul exists!! Yet, you state it as fact!!!! LOL!!
Besdies, if an embro has a soul, THEN HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE MILLIONS OF FROZEN "EMBRYOS WITH SOULS" ALL OVER THE WORLD? FROZEN SOULS!? THAT'S OK WITH YOU???
Additionally, you seem to think (from a supernatural point of view) that being sent to the afterlife, bypassing the nonsense on earth, is BAD. Heaven is BAD??? WOW!!!
Yikes...once again, someone who contradicts themself in their own answer!!

Suspendor of logic said: " If you think an embryo is a race car, you have abandoned logic and we cannot have a discussion"
Perfect name, since your logic is clearly suspended. Where did you get the feeling that I WAS CALLING AN EMBRYO A RACE-CAR???
I was making a point, that most others seemed to get: If you want to give an embryo a false name, then you can give it any false name you wish, for all I care.
Why was that such a difficult point to grasp??

I don't know. I'm actually starting to get a little irritated with the whole thing (and it is difficult to irritate me.) I wish they could spend a day in the life of a woman that has to make the decision. This subject is personal, as I had a close friend have an abortion. In her situation, I would have done the same. I wish they could step into someone else's shoes for a change and stop with all the murder accusations.
It's one thing to disagree.....quite another to condemn a person for their choices.

Abortion is a legal medical procedure. True. BUt it invovles much more than many. I wouldn't say that most times it is the removal of a zygote. I would believe most are done in the embryo stage. BUT if you have decided on terms that must be used would you kindly tell all of the pro-choice people who decide to keep their embryos not to call it their baby as they wait the magic day when it becomes a baby...birth. I hear many people call their unborn child a baby, is it ok if we aren't talking of abortion?
They can't have it both ways and you can't either.
They speak against something they don't believe in. It's their right. This is a free country that way.
I do not wish to make abortion illegal but I believe it is a serious subject and I respect all sides.

Why can't the mother leave the baby (or embryo) to THEIR own lives?
The fact that it's legal is only temporary. In a couple of hundred years people will cringe at the thought that millions or billions of innocent lives (embryos are alive) were destroyed for the sake of convenience. The fact is that the embryo is NOT just a part of the woman's body. She is sheltering the life. Proof is that if you remove the embryo, she is unharmed (physically anyway). If it was part of her body then removing it would kill her. And baby's are not tonsils nor appendixes. She wasn't born with the baby in her womb.
Embryos are human. They have 100% of the genetic makeup of a human being. They are also alive. Therefore they are living humans.
And I am against cryogenically freezing too. Anything that results in the harm of an unborn baby, I'm against.
And if you want to talk about the legal system and double standards, why are you convicted of double homicide if you kill a pregnant woman?

Because we believe that every person has a soul. Most pro-"choice" people have an anti-supernatural bias, and so they don't have to worry about sending a soul into the afterlife. At the moment of conception, an embryo is given a soul. And if you "abort" the embryo, you are essentially killing a human being. Killing a human being is murder. We don't call killing a dog or a mouse murder. This is because they do not have souls. The reason, I guess, people justify the killing of unborn babies is because they believe them not to have souls.
We don't want other people not to lead their own lives...we -want- the babies to be able to lead their lives without being killed off in the first few months of their lives. :/ I don't think you'd want to be aborted if you were a fetus, would you?
Just because something is legal does not mean something is right. Slavery was legal, remember? Oregon legalized the killing of people who are a "burden" to society. Murder is wrong.

If you think an embryo is a race car, you have abandoned logic and we cannot have a discussion. If an embryo is NOT a baby, what is it? a giraffe? An artichoke? All it needs is food and shelter, just like you or me. And an astronaut would ALSO die if you dropped him in a freezer or for that matter yanked him out of his spacesuit!
Killing jews was ALSO a legal medical procedure in the 1930's to '40's. Did that make it moral?

The Christian view is supported by science. No one contests that a human embryo is a human life form ; it is not,for example a pig embryo. The issue is when does it become a human individual. We now know that the embryo is genetically unique from the instant of conception. That is why you and your siblings are not identical. If the embryo is human rather than animal and genetically unique, and it is ,beginning at the moment of conception,it is a) human and b) individual. I regret that so many people are unable to grasp the idea. Abortion is a horrible waste of human potential.

of course a baby is not the same thing as a fetus. Neither is a senex the same thing as a teen ager, nor an embryo a zygote. These are all words we use to describe - what? - human beings at various stages of their life. If the embryo is not a human being what is it? There are only limited categories.
With regards to frozen embryos, pro-life people do not define it as property for freezing. You've set up a straw man for yourself.
And if millions of embryos are spontaneously aborted, so what? Pro-life people do not claim the omnipotence of omniscience of God almighty, who said 'not one sparrow falls from the sky but I know it, and you are worth much more than sparrows.'

definite i might say that's the media. right here i might % to cite a asserting from' Socrates ' people who tell the tale rule the society". In todays age media is the tale teller, in spite of it tells human beings have faith it. And one element extra authentic that have you ever considered any Christian (different than Hitler) claiming after or in the previous killing somebody that he's doing it for Christianity, comparable with the different religions. yet we hit upon many MUSLIMS claiming that they have achieved such an act for ISLAM. This element gave media an benefit that they are unfastened responsible Islam for each little thing. extremely speaking i don't have an exact responsible Christianity, or Jew ism or the different faith for some incorrect act achieved with the help of a guy or woman belonging to that faith. an identical i might % to assume from non-Muslims too.

Abortion is NOT a medical procedure, in spite of the fact that abortuaries are labeled "clinics". Medical procedures cure sick people, they do not kill the children of healthy women. Embryos are not aborted. By the time a woman knows she is pregnant, the developing child is already in the fetal stage. In any case, a human being in any stage of his/her life deserves to be protected from cold blooded murder.

You are deceived!
It is God who created life, and only God has the right to take away life!
Each person conceived is precious in God's eyes. He has a plan and purpose for that person. An embryo is not viable outside of the body, but the heart beats, and it is maturing minute by minute - it is fully formed by the end of the 13th week, all it needs after that is to mature.
I suggest you read Psalm 139 in the Bible.
