reconcile with him in your heart, and continue living your life to the best of your ability. My husband is estranged from his 3 younger brothers and father, they have rejected him for years. He is okay with it know but it was a hard road of pain and he is much better for it after he came to terms with it.

Well, I'm not sure what the issues are that caused this rift. So, my answer is general. You need to communicate. How about writing a letter to him and express your feelings. Tell him that you want to talk before it is too late. It is a good start to tell him that at times we may not always like each other, but love will always be there in your heart. Go ahead, five it a try, you won't regret it.

if he doesn't want to, you cant force him, send him a card and if you don't hear from him, its on HIM, not you...I had two uncles who after 40 years, reconciled, within a year, one had passed on...not everything happens in OUR time...Just pray for him...
