My peekepoo has a bulging eyeball. I just put him on Amoxicillin for a bacterial infection. Could this be a sign of an allergy or something else? Is it possible his sinuses are full? Could it be a scratched eyeball?

If this eye is bulging out of the socket, the longer you play around and not go to a vet, then you will be looking at having the eye removed!!! Take this dog to a vet.

Did your vet advise you to give the dog amoxicillin or did you take it upon yourself to give it to the dog? If the vet advised you, why didn't you ask the vet about the eye. If you gave the antibiotic to the dog on your own, it's time you take him to a vet to determine what the problem is. A scratched cornea can be very serious and without proper care the dog could lose the eye. Only tests performed by a vet could determine what is going on. Besides, can you imagine how uncomfortable your dog is with the condition of his eye? It's the same when you get something in your eye, the irritation will drive you crazy. Don't let your dog suffer, take him to a vet.

If the eyeball itself looks like it is popping out of the socket, you need to get him to the vet right away.

I advise the emergency vet NOW. Don't wait for it to get worse.
