Like, if somebody dies in it or something, do they clean it out very well before they send it to the junkyard? It's a strange question I know, but somebody on the Craigslist said that you can actually see stains etc if you go to the junkyard.

The car is sent to an impound yard and investigated thoroughly charges if applicabloe are filed. Afterward it's taken to a holding area and the case is settled with the insurance company to decide what to do with it.

Usually they total it and send it to a junkyard after that. The junkyard and them usually don't bother cleaning it and the police and tow truck drivers aren't allowed to when it's in their hands in case the car is used as evidence in a criminal investigation or a civil suit.

It is impounded if there is to be an investigation and charges of any kind. After that (or immediately if not impounded) it is towed to a holding area and then after the insurance companies settle it is moved to a salvage yard for auction, demolition or whatever, depending on its condition. Very little is ever done to clean up badly damaged autos. It just isn't cost efficient.

Most vehicles are insured so if the damaged vehicle has been totalled (whicj means simply that the cost to repair the vehicle exceeds its market value, not that the vehicle has been entirely destroyed) it then belongs to the insurance company. They likely auction it off or sell it to a scrap yard. You're probably correct that there would still be bloodstains on the upholstery and carpet.

well if the car is totalled and goes to the junk yard there is no reason for them to clean the inside out at all.You will be able to see the Blood and what every else was left inside of the car.I work at a car dealer in Ohio and My Brother is a Paramedic

It gets hauled to the junkyard and no, they do not clean it up first.

From personal knowledge they do not clean them out. They just load them up and take them in. We once got four 55 gallon drums full of beer bottles from a burnt delivery truck.
