I just accidently ran over my cat when i was pulling into my driveway. It was black, so I already found a replacement. My kids won't be able to tell the differnce. Now, i just need to get rid of the dead one. Any ideas?

I don't really have much of a yard, so buring is not n option. I don't really want to pay for anything, either. There IS a river by my house... is there any laws against disposing of dead pets in this way?

wow! Your kids will notice the difference. The river? Have some respect. Why do you have animals anyway? You ran over your own animal? Again, wow. Make sure your kids aren't in the driveway while you back out. Pay attention. There are no replacements. Everything is unique...every spirit unique. To say your kids will not notice a difference with a replacement cat is .....ignorant. It may take them 20 years...but they will figure it out. I am frightened for your new cat...I am frightened for your kids. But then again, I see everything that comes in the way of my car....not fair to judge you. maybe simply, you need glasses. I could never throw my cat away in a river. But, they are family. Try being honest with your kids. This would be a good time to discuss death with them, You do not have to tell them how the cat died....education is a good thing.

you can try to put in a plastic bag and throw it away in the trash cat and have something else to be over it so that youre kids wont even see it when theyre going open the trash can. or you can do this instead. when youre kids not home you just dig into youre back ground and throw the trash bag with the dead cat inside of it and make a funneral for youre cat instead so that youre cat can go to heaven like others owners done for theire lost pets . make a graved for the cat . maybe you can get a same black cat but new one then youre kids wont even find out that you killed their pet cat ? cause if you do maybe youre kids will ask you where is my cat why our cat hadnt coming back home. you dont want make youre kids sad that the cat isnt really coming back .

Do you think your kids are dumb? And what was your cat doing outside in the first place? Hopefully, you will take better care of the new one. Tell your kids the truth, and take the cat to the vet to be cremated or otherwise disposed of. They will probably charge you a fee, though.

Take it out and bury it somewhere your kids do not usually go...preferably not when they are around if that is possible. May be when they are not home or in bed. if not put it in a shoe box and hide it in the trash barrel outside until u can get away to bury it

My gosh, this is your children's pet. Have you no sympathy? I sure hope this is a joke and not a serious post. Did you not care about this cat at all, you can't even refer to it by name.....just getting RID of "a dead cat". Gosh, I sure hope you don't run over one of your kids, we'll see ya on the news b/c you threw a dead kid in the river!! SICKO

Take the body to the beach and build a raft.
Bring a bow and arrow
Place body on raft with some kindling,
Cast raft out on the water.
Make one arrow into a flaming arrow.
When raft is safely away shoot flaming arrow at raft.
Burial at sea with spectacular ceremony!

Put it in double garbage bags and dump it in your trash on trash day.
Are your kids to small to accept a part of life.........dying. They will have to face it someday and coming from parents is the best way.

Your vet can help you. He/she will know of people who are actually licensed to take care of deceased animals (they're licensed in New York at least). On another note, you really should be honest and up front with your kids. Believe me, they WILL know the difference.

my son's bitty died yesterday and left it on the hot water heater so when he went to bed i took the poor little bitty and buried it across the road around 12 last night and he thinks that our 2 cats got it.but i assured him that they didn't,so today he came home from school and didn't say anything else about the bitty.

If you had the cat for any length of time, they'll know. Tell them what happened. They will forgive you. It was an accident.
