I am captian of my college's cheerleading squad, and majoring in medicine. I am the mother of beautiful 2 year old little girl. Why can't i find a guy that wants to date me? A guy who doesn't want me to set them up with one of the other cheerleader's on my squad.

From what you have shared, it would take an evolved, courageous, confident, mature, man of high integrity to take you on. Perhaps some of these guys are looking for something simple. They may be intimidated. I don't think you want someone who is intimidated by you. You seem rather ambitious and I applaud you for that. Don't settle. It's not easy to be patient. However, sometimes it wouldn't hurt to make the first move. Prayer never hurts.

Some guys may think that since you're the captain of a squad AND have a small child, you won't have time for a significant other. Other men may feel that when they date you, it's almost like dating the daughter in a way. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but you do have to consider that the child will take up a lot time and possibly time that you could've used to spend with him. And being the captain of a cheer squad, a COLLEGE cheer squad at that, is a major time commitment, is it not? I'm on my high school squad and aren't even the captain, and it's take up lots of time as it is. <3

That's sad that poor little girls dad left you guys, she will be miserable
Maybe no one wants to date you because you all ready have a kid..so he doesn't want settle after all even in college the guys are still immature and always want to "party", maybe you can get a nerdy date...
and don't have another kid with some other guy that you are 100% sure he wont leave you, because then you'll have 2 different kids from two different dads...and he will leave too...and the process repeats

hint hint, ready made family. guys your age don't want someone Else's problems or to raise someone Else's kid. I was like that when I was younger. I still don't want to raise someone Else's kids now but am mature enough to know that you never know where you will find love. after a guy has kids of his own, he realizes how much fun they are , but before a guy has them, he only sees responsibility. and telling all his buddies that it isn't his kid. you weren't pure when he met you ( few are these days). just like guys and older women , most ideas a guy has comes from his forming years while he was in elementary school, only as he starts getting a little more mature and starts to question his ideas, does he realize how silly they really are. that he is holding on to notions that aren't sane. and you don't want a middle age geezer to date. so you are in a predicament. you may find what you consider a nerd or geek that can't get laid to hook up with. but that's not what you want. you want what you had before you were a Mommy, your choice. you want to be hot again and do the choosing. good luck.............

first of all you have kids.. and its prolly hard for a young man in college to see themselves dating a girl who has kids... sorry to say it but its a rareity..
and secondly maybe your not looking for the right people...
try looking outside of college..
but im pretty sure that most guys are intimitdated by you prolly cuz your smart and somewhat a successful person.. maybe your personality is too strong for a guy becuz you have prolly been through alot... dont let that get you down you will find someone soon.. good luck!!!

I'm sorry about that, but it's just that guys don't want someone with a kid. It's not necessarily that the guy doesn't want responsibility (sometimes) it's more that the kid isn't his and he'll have to live with that. There will be somebody out there who probably can't have kids and will get with you.

It could be that they are not interested in dating someone who already has a child. The view you as "looking for a daddy" for the kid. Then again, it could be that your breath smells like a sack of buttholes.

it sounds like you have a lot of responsibilities already. they also found out that you are already a Mother. Sometimes that turns them off.

maybe the guys are just too nervous to ask you out. Just be patient. When it happens, it will be wonderful.
