I'm almost three weeks out of open inguinal hernia repair surgery. For the first several days my hip would hurt when I would laugh or try to get up. It would subside as I walked around so I attributed it to our couch being worn out.
The pain subsided until a few days ago when I had a sharp pain in my hip while on the commode (embarrassing, I know). Now it hurts when I've been seated on a hard chair for awhile and sometimes if I laugh hard enough it will hurt too. If I get up and walk around it goes away.
Any ideas what it might be? Could it just be that as I've gotten back to moving around from surgery that I'm just walking "wrong" and it's causing the hip pain?
Other than that the healing process is going splendidly. I imagine this will ease up in a few days, just curious in case it doesn't.
