Why would I have any business ordering campers around in the first place? They have a right not to follow my instructions if they so choose.

If you're a counselor you should be trained in what to do with disorderly children. There is a different protocol at every camp. I do the "three strikes" rule. Tell them once, tell them again, tell them a third time (ask nicely each time) then they have to sit out or go to admin and stay there for the day with Evil Flo (the camp director). If they have another day like that one we call the parents and if that doesn't work and they have a third strike they get sent home. Most kids are pretty good after seeing Flo though, she bores them to death by making them sit in a chair in her office and ignoring them all day.
Of course, if you're on a private camping trip, you tell the brat's parents to control him and if that doesn't work, control him yourself however you best see fit.
Good luck!
