I know this isn't an orthodox question, but I beg you to bear with me and help our family.

My grandfather's dog might possibly have bone cancer, and we need all the prayers we can get for her recovery. This dog is very important. She's a retired service dog who belonged to my grandmother after she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. After my grandmother died, Star became one of the most important beings in my grandfather's life, and if she were to go now, he'd just be crushed.

I know there are many of you out there who consider your dogs a family member and would hate to see your dog in a horrible situation like this. I'm asking all of you from the bottom of my heart to send up a small prayer for the recovery of our dog. You have no idea how much of a positive impacked you will have just by doing this!

Thank you so much for your help!

I will. I know God hears and answers our prayers concerning our animals (personal doggie experience). He loves our doggies. Prayin hard. God bless.

I will , and we can all pray , just remember it is still all in God's hands , and we have to let his will be done , When we put it in God's hands he will do as He see's fit for the best even if it is not what we wanted , His way is never about what we want nor has it ever been ... We are not to question his will , I hope for the best , and no matter the outcome you have prayed ,and put this creature in his hands , He will do what is best for the dog, no matter what the outcome is you still have to remember to thank him for having done as he see's fit , He does everything for a reason even if we don't understand , we have to accept it ,and not question the Lord Almighty . I will pry for the dog , and the Grandfather as I am sure he has endured many burdens in his lifetime ,God will ease the burdens as well , If he is allowed to do so .. thoughts ,and prayers are with you. God Bless

Hello, yes definitely praying for Star and your family...what a wonderful dog she must be having been a service dog...can i suggest you lay your hands on her and pray in Jesus name over her and just speak the words that come to you, when stroking her just pray peace and healing over her. You must believe in the power of prayer since your asking...Saint Francis is the patron Saint of all animals, he knew how much God loved His creation, and how important animals are to us, our faithful companions...God Bless you for asking for prayer and it's a privilege to be able to do it for Star...

Dogs are the best people on Earth! Sure, I certainly have no problem with lifting your family and pooch up in sincere prayer. Peace...

Sure. I imagine your grandfather thinks of this dog a small part of your grandmother. I will definitely add her to my prayer list. God Bless you and your family!

i would love to pray for you and your family, and i think it is especially gutsy that you ask us to pray for Star. And the story behind Star is touching, too.

Could i ask you to pray for me too? I have been having emotional breakdowns lately and i need a God's help right now.
please and thank you

p.s. i think the people on this post that are saying 'your god cant help' and 'he gave the dog cancer' and BlahBlahBlah should go post elsewhere, you are not appreciated!

I don't mean to sound crass, but do you honestly think that your god is more likely to help if more people pray for your dog? Would he not help if he didn't receive enough prayer requests for the dog?

I truly do wish your dog the best, but I wouldn't suggest putting false hope in the thoughts of a bunch of people. Just love your dog and hope that the doctor can help.

Best of luck.
