The only difference I can think of is loving someone can be a one way street, being In love with soemone seems to mean they feel the same way, then youre "in love WITH them".Otherwise, its all psycho babbel.

I, personally, think that loving someone and being in love is the same. And there isn't really an exact point where you start loving. You can't wake up one morning and say, "Self, I think last night at 7:19 I fell in love." It doesn't work like that. You grow into that feeling, not gain it overnight. And age doesn't matter, either. I stress that a lot. Love comes when it feels like it regardless of whether you've just turned 12 or you're on the verge of 75! Remember that. . .and don't let anyone tell you that you're too young to love somebody, because then they would be lying! <3

Loving someone is caring.
someone who is important in your life... a close person that you care about deeply. Thats just the formal "love" adding on to this is a attraction, liking them.
Being in love...is a miracle. You care about them of course but at the same time you need them. a strong emotion that you feel toward them. Because of them of what they are.
An emotion that effects you...everything.
