I see a lot of pictures of a white Jesus with long blond hair and blue eyes. Do you think this is the way Jesus really looks? Not that I really care but this is an issue my friends and I were discussing. If you need more reference, go back to Revelations. It said Jesus had hair like wool. Nappy hair...duh!

Revelation 1:14 says, "His head and His hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like flames of fire." This is talking about Jesus after he died, resurrected, and ascended back to heaven. It's also packed full of symbolism and not an indication of His race, though we do know that Jesus was born a Jew, in Bethlehem, which is now considered part of Palestine and was never considered part of Africa. I'm not sure anyone's place of birth can really dictate the texture of their hair, but I am sure that we already know that historically Jesus was an Israelite, a Hebrew, a Jew,not American, not Costa Rican, not Italian, not Chinese, and not African. I am also sure that you don't have to be the of the same "race" or nationality as Jesus to be like Jesus. Matthew 12:48-50 says, "Jesus asked, 'Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?' Then He pointed to His disciples and said, 'Look, these are My mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of My Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." See? Anyone can look like Jesus, you, me, anybody, anywhere. I hope you find what you're looking for. Shalom.

People are always going to want to rewrite history to benefit their own ego or culture. We will always desire to be something we are not, in order to feel good about ourselves. Why would'nt you want to be associated with one of the greatest religious leaders ever and the son of God? But what it comes down to is if you believe in Jesus, it does not matter what color he was or what color you are. He's not going to love you anymore or anyless and it does not give you any rights or entitlements. The only thing you get is knowledge and how you can apply it to spirit. People think race is black and white, but it is not. There are many tribes of mankind, someone from Africa may be actually of Asian ancestry or from caucasion ancestry, black skin is a genetic adaption to sunlight and environment and it makes you no different from anyone else, that is why you they we're once called "the ******* Race" before it came politically incorrect. Basically very few will know what I'm talking about because they have not done the research.

One sad fact is that people look at a geological location and automatically ***-ume that only 1 race or type of people live there. Another sad fact is that Nubian (African/ Black) people contribute so much to humanity and people of other races take the claims for themselves not giving any recognition to the originators but instead pose as it's they did it all.

Nubians are everywhere even in China. There is not a place u won't find us so to say he's a Jew or he's not black as though it's a fact is ignorance because none of us were there. So we have to go by the description in Revalation and other parts to come to a logiical truth.

Hair like wool refers to only one truth then it also say he had feet like burnt brass. Come on folks; anything burnt is black and if your bible says bronze it's still referring to a dark shade.

Remember he had to HIDE in Egypt because Herod was looking to kill him. So how can we hide a Caucasian kid in Africa (according to those depictions so many of these fanatics uphold)?

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, which isn't on the continent of Africa. But no, I don't think that he was blonde with blue eyes. I think he probably looked middle-eastern.

First of all Jesus was born in Bethlehem, not Jerusalem, and neither are in Africa. They are both in the Middle East, which, with the exception of the Sinai Peninsula, is in ASIA. So Jesus was Asian, but not oriental (I assume, as orientals live in the far east). As to how he looks, I couldn't begin to guess.

Jesus was a Jew.

He did not have an afro, dreads, or piercing blue eyes.

He was not tall and nordic looking with those broad shoulders, and a thick head of blond hair.

He was a Jew, from the middle east.

Look at pictures of the people who currently occupy Israel and the Palastinian Territories.

There you have an idea of what facial features Jesus had.

The Church commissioned Michelangelo to paint the image of Jesus. Do a search for pictures of Jesus and see the variations that existed before Michelangelo's painting.

Yes yes. Your self-righteousness knows no bounds. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, which was in the old Israel (likely the newer one too). Also, there is a Jerusalem in Israel, and it is the more commonly accepted one. That's like saying King Louis XVI was born in Paris, Texas, so he must have been American.

I don't think it matters what race Jesus is, I think the pictures we see of Jesus are white if in America or I've heard of black Jesus pictures in some African countries.

Pepsi Generation Jesus is a joke. Jesus was nondescript. My guess is that He was about 5-2, 130 lbs. thick, black, even "nappy" hair, brown to dark brown skin, distinguished only by His love and wisdom.
