A better question would be: Would the US even notice?

Do you know how many countries have declared war on the US and we responded by ignoring them?

Nobody. The EU has two nuclear-armed nations, Britain and France. Both could attack the continental United States. Such a war would inevitably result in mutual destruction.

If nuclear weapons were ignored? The US would have an initial advantage, as it has bases in numerous EU countries. However, these bases could not stand up against any serious assault; as the possibility that they would be directly attacked by an army was never considered.

The European economy is stronger than the American economy, and it would have more funds to wage war with. It also has a larger population, so more prospective recruits. However, America has far superior military technology.#

What is most likely is that ground forces will never meet, apart from right at the start of the war, when US bases on European soil would be attacked. It would largely be an air and sea battle, and it would be fought all over the world. EU countries have military and naval bases pretty much everywhere America does, and most of the action would take place far from America or Europe.

There would certainly be a sea war in the Atlantic, and here Europe could win. The Royal Navy is certainly on a level with that of America, and Britain has more Atlantic naval bases than America, which has traditionally focused on the Pacific. A European victory in the Atlantic would enable it to import grain from Canada. This would be essential, as Europe cannot produce all of its food.

Europe has some pretty sophisticated anti-air systems. These are currently operated by America in military bases, but they could easily be seized. These would prevent major American air attacks on continental Europe. As the USA's defence mechanisms are largely placed in Europe and not the mainland, it could lose out here.

I think the war would be pretty evenly matched. If nuclear weapons are not used, it could last for decades, until both comatatants eventually collapse from the strain of waging total war. One side might claim victory, but both would lose.

This really is a stupid question. How old are you?
The EU would fracture and not exist because we have to many allies who are part of the EU. Britain, Italy, Germany Norway... and last and least France. And besides their economies depend on our trade and money. You should think about war with China or Islamic Fascists instead.

Roflol, if Eu attacked the USA, they'd get their cheese whipped, because of two little industrial nations named China and Japan. Actually, China might not help, but I'm sure that Japan would.

There woudn´t be a war because we don´t have an expantionist and agressive foreign policy.

Does the EU have enemies except of some radicals who stand against everything anyway ? (in which case military operations are not the solutions anyway)
