I know this isn't an orthodox question, but I beg you to bear with me and help our family.

My grandfather's dog might possibly have bone cancer, and we need all the prayers we can get for her recovery. This dog is very important. She's a retired service dog who belonged to my grandmother after she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. After my grandmother died, Star became one of the most important beings in my grandfather's life, and if she were to go now, he'd just be crushed.

I know there are many of you out there who consider your dogs a family member and would hate to see your dog in a horrible situation like this. I'm asking all of you from the bottom of my heart to send up a small prayer for the recovery of our dog. You have no idea how much of a positive impacked you will have just by doing this!

Thank you so much for your help!

I always cry when I hear things like this. I am not religious but I will pray for you. My dog Blue, who I adopted from the humane society was a retired hunting dog. When he became of no use his owners abused him. They poured battery acid on his legs and left him for dead. Thankfully the head of the humane society intervened and brought him to the shelter. He was a comfort to me after my previous dog Joey died of Cushings Syndrome. We had Blue four years and he got cancer. We did everything to save him but in the end he was suffering too much and I could not be selfish and put him through anymore pain. It will be five years August 23rd of this year since he passed. Do you believe it still affects me to the point of crying still. I had a beautiful ceramic urn made for him with his name and death date on it. I can still feel his spirit. I know he is with my father in heaven.

All living creatures and things die. Prayer remains, as always a positive energy. If it is Star's time to pass on then that's what must happen. She was everything to your Grandma and Grandpa. It she does indeed have bone cancer (and I do pray that is not the case) I hope she goes quickly and with as little pain as possible. The love you have for her will help. The love you have for your Grandpa, the same. We can pray she gets better but if her time is up, then it's up. She was the best at what she did and you honour her greatly with your request. Be cautiously optimistic and accept whatever happens.

Heavenly Father, we know You know when even the sparrows fall. We lift up this dog to you. We know Star is important to You as much as Star's family is. We ask you to be in this situation and especially with the Grandfather. We ask for the healing of this dog and a speedy recovery, in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

It's a pity about your dog..if you are telling the truth; however, it would be nicer if we could all say a prayer every day for the thousands of kids who are stricken with cancer, some who are born affected with AIDS and others who are born into deplorable poverty. We can replace a pet; we may not be able to replace a child of God.

there's this awesome way to get your dog healed of cancer. what you do is, you go up to your dog and say, jesus i convene the courts of heaven and i command cancer to leave my dog, in the name of Jesus! that should do the trick. if it doesn't, you could always pray and bring the dog back to life. it happened to a friend of mine, except she prayed for a dead lady.

I will pray for Star. But, remember that it God's will and not ours. Maybe your Grandmother want Star with her now.

I'm sorry about the dog, but prayer can't help. Only licensed doctors.
