I know FBI discourages criminal justice majors. Is a job in enforcement (ICE, Secret Service, etc.) in the Dept. of Homeland Security any different?

The biggest lack that the Department of Homeland Security and the CIA have is the lack of people who can speak to and understand the enemy.

The Iranian language is Farsi so you should take that and take history courses in the Middle East. It would be good to know how to use computers since most of your documents will be on computer, but just knowing the language is more important than anything else.

If you want to make yourself even more attractive to Homeland Security then learn Spanish as well. With a double knowledge like that you will have the NSA, the CIA, the FBI, AND Homeland Security courting you.

Courses in Jack Booted Thugs and How To Strip People Of Their Protected Rights really help. Also if you kick puppies and steal from babies then that always looks good on a DHS resume!
