Dont put the dog to sleep. Min Pins are agressive and protective by nature. I had a min pin and doberman pinscher at the same time and their behaviors were similiar. What were the circumstances of the biting incidents ? Did the dog feel threatened. ? Was it being teased or antagonized ? How old is it ? There are a lot of factors to consider before taking drastic action ?

If your dog is just doing this because it wants to and shows agression all the time and has snapped at you then i would say yes.however in the dogs defense if it is old and or was threatened or protecting something then maybe not if the dog is young it could use some socialization and or obedience its hard to give a total opinion without knowing more info...

Call Cesar Milan! There are places that can tell you whether your dog can be worked with to calm his vicious tendencies - it is not very often that a dog is simply hopeless. Someone like Cesar Milan (of the Dog Whisperer on National Geographic Channel) can either help himself or suggest a local resource to help save your dog.

Putting him to sleep should be a last resort. I'm so sorry!

Trainers are great but this is something that you are going to want to go to a behavioralist for. They will want to do an evaluation on your dog to see if this is behavior can be worked on. They will also be able to tell you what triggers him/her to bite and you will need to work on desensitizing. If you have had your dog for a few years and he/she just started to bite, you may also want to take him/her to your vet for tests to rule out any medical reason that may be causing this. Sometimes Thyroid problems can cause a dog to become agressive.

No, but you should either take some lessons on dog training or find someone who can take him and work with him. Any dog can be cured of aggression if a professional is working with them. It's not his fault he wasn't taught right from the beginning.

There are no bad dogs, only bad owners.

On you or on people in the area when you have him out for a walk? If it is just you he drawn blood on then you can train him not to play so hard, if it's people in your area that his biting when you have him out for walks then you need to shorten his leash and keep him away from the people.

well if your dog is really sick and is miserable and won't do the things that he/she used to do then maybe you should. it would be sad to lose your dog, and maybe your best friend but it lets your dog out of its pain. trust me i had to put my dog to sleep it was the hardest thing to do in my life. i had that dog since i was 2, i am now 13 and i still cry. but i know that my dog is having the time of her life playing with our other dog that also died, and she is watching over me.if you do decide to put your dog to sleep you can always get a new one, that is what i did.i love my new dogs to death, but i still do miss my other ones.

good luck
:)

No, your dog should be properly trained. Enroll in obedience classes if necessary.

It’s your fault he’s bitten people, not his, and therefore he should not be the one to pay the price for it.
