Ignore those who are commenting on your spelling, dogs have a great sense of smell and equally good hearing, this compensates for them only seeing in black and white. A dog can hear a car or a motorbike b4 it gets into their street, they can also identify the engine sound of someone they know, they also have a good sense of time.

Dogs can HEAR quite well but its a dogs nose that has the power so to speak. For example a blood hound can sniff out a person even if they have been locked in a trunk and driven miles down the road. They don't like to quit untill they have found what they are looking for they will look for the person before eating or drinking all day if they could.

Dogs can hear about 100 times better than humans. My dog can hear the mail truck coming when it is a couple blocks still down the road. He immediatly starts barking and growling and will run to the mail drop which is on the inside wall of my livingroom.

Dogs can hear very well. most people think that they cannot but they can. why do you think a dog wistle is slient to us? i mean a dog can hear from miles and miles away. they can also warn you of danger way headed of time. so they awnser is that dogs can hear ten times that of a human.

Presume you mean hear. Dogs can hear to higher freqencies than humans and their hearing is quite acute. They can hear things that we can't. Obviously with old age their hearing abilities decrease and they can become completely deaf.Think of the whistles that dog handlers use and are vitually inaudble to us.

A dog's hearing is supposed to be highly sensitive, but we often said our dog had selective hearing. She chose not to hear when you were telling her off!

Quite well but it depends on the dog. Flop eared ones can hear less well than prick eared ones. They can hear higher frequencies than us too.
