It is time for you to see a good dermatologist. Try to get the very first appointment you can. This is an emergency situation. The condition you describe is definitely not just from dryness. Are you exposed to any chemicals or adverse envrionmental situations? Do you wear anything over your face for any reason (protective mask if you spray-paint for instance)? Do you wear any sort of cosmetics?

Try to list everything that you can think of that may be causing the problem because the dermatolgist will want to know. Also expect some testing. The condition may be related to something you have not even thought of...like diabetes.

I'm sorry if I've scared you but I can't stress enough that it's very important to have this problem looked at carefully by a good dermatologist .

My young son gets very dry, cracking & bleeding skin on his face & lips as well, especially when it's chilly out or he has a cold. Dr says he's just very prone to very dry skin. I use Mary Kay Night Emollient Cream on it & it goes away quickly. It's only like $11 for a large tube that lasts a loooong time.

Man you really need to go see a dermatologist ASAP !!

Don't wait any longer, could be something serious.

I know vitamin E and Aloe Vera mixed with almond oil makes wonders for skin... but you need more than that.

Please go see a specialist.

Good Luck !

a consult with a dermatologist would be a good idea. He may test for any underlying conditions that may be causing the very dry skin.

Make sure you are getting proper nutrition, especially Ribovlavin (found in raisins). A good mulivitamin should work. That, and Blistex oitment (not the wax) works every time for me.
