Nothing is more important than our eternal destiny. And as a Christian, I know that people do think about this things, and I personally know that more people are willing to talk about them than what we think. That is why it is important for us Christians to share the Gospel with other people, We can atleast give them a fighting chance at Heaven. Its better to show them the way and hope they make the right choice, than to not show them the way at all.

I am concerned about eternal matters because I will live in Heaven forever after I die since I have trusted in Jesus Christ for my salvation.
The things I do while I am alive on earth will determine how much I enjoy eternity in Heaven with God and the saints (fellow Christians).

In eternity, or at least most of eternity, I will be DEAD. My body will decay and vanish, and my mind will be gone. This one life is all I have. Therefore I obviously am concerned about secular matters, there is no reason to "prepare" for eternity.

You know we talk over and over about things like eternity here and somehow today we have come to the futility of life.
Its a good time for me to look at that question. Always and forever, mothers, fathers, grandparents, uncles, aunts...have valued the concept of keeping the family line and the family name going, of bestowing on our children a better, richer, more intelligent, happier life. (this is not to those who choose not to bring children into the world).
My grandson is here. I look at him and wonder what his future will be. Will he have a world to pass on to his grandchildren...or will we have obliterated life as we know it. Will he be drafted to fight in a war that no one wants and is not a war? Will he have a garden to plant, food to eat.
Life is not futile...its a series of events, happy, sad, tender, precious, struggling...but we do make it meaningful. If your life is futile, you choose it to be so. I choose to take my grandson's hand, kiss him for the handful of dandelions and smile. Best of all...I have someone to thank for my life.

This promise is where I place my faith about eternity:
In my Fathers house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

No since I do not believe in eternity. A human lives but one life and then they die and that ends it. If you live your life well that should be enough, nothing more is needed.

I'm very concerned about eternal matters, but only in an ephemeral sense.

There is no eternity, just oblivion. No afterlife, just annihilation.
My eternity's already set and ready to go. I just have to get there. Might as well enjoy the ride since when this ride stops, I cease to exist.

If you could prove eternity exists I think everyone would be concerned. What color power ranger do you like the best?

What an excellent question, not enough of us are concerned with what happens next. I think about it all the time, study and try to find the truths. Choosing love here is the only answer that makes any sense.
I get totally frustrated with the christian religion, it is like they are all lemmings,( I was one once myself) I was challenged to read the whole bible (king james version) about 10 years ago. I read the whole book I am no longer christian. The atrosities the god of the old testament created, allowed or promoted was too much for me to continue to believe that could be the same god of love the preacher professed to exist. I believe in a god of unconditional love that created our souls with free will (not humans) in his likeness. many souls could not bear to leave fathers side for the loss of love. many souls went out and returned to share their adventures. Some souls rebeled wanted to be a god themselves. This place (earth system) WAS CREATED FOR THE SOUL TO MAKE ITS FINAL CHOICE. Do they really want to be a "little God and live in dominion=lordship over others. or return to father of love/fellowship/joy/sharing/ab... bliss.
What if heaven and hell are exactly the same except for one difference? What ever you picture in your head heaven to be, imagine hell to be the same except for one difference. Everything you can do in heaven you can do in hell except for one difference. The difference is love or dominion. If you choose love you are in heaven, you are sharing love/joy/fellowship, absolute bliss in all you do.
If you choose dominion you are in hell, everyone will be dominion bent, acting without regard to anything but personal pleasure, personal gain, exercising power over others. Everyman for himself in all that is done. Everything else is the same.
Now which path do/will you choose? LOVE or DOMINION

P.S. Doesn't hell feel a lot like earth?
P.S. S. If you choose dominion click on exit, there is nothing here for you.
