Why do people hurt other people, when they don't their own incoming goods.

Something close to that, I used a translator and my own judgment.

Yes the first part of the sentence means "Why do people hurt/injure other people", the second is a mixture of German and English and is not complete, my guess is that it's supposed to mean "if they don't want to be hurt/injured themselves". The "want to be" would be at the end of the sentence in German and it's missing, but it's the only thing that would make sense to me.

The sentence seems to be somewhat garbled in the second part. The first part means "why do people hurt/injure other people, if they ..."
