I am going to check at the hospital NICU. I don't have any medical training, can get my cpr and first aid renewed though. Just want to be around babies a few hours a week.

I would suggest that you check with the local children's shelters also. They typically have volunteer projects in which you can work directly with the toddlers and babies left in their care.

Also you might want to check with your local volunteer center. Your volunteer center can help you find specific community projects and non-profit agencies in your local area to help you make an impact in your community.

My volunteer center works directly with the local children's shelter, and I lead some projects to do some direct work with the children. Some of the other volunteers in my group sing songs and read bedtime stories to the toddlers and babies at the shelter.

Good luck!

What about an outreach center for teen moms. I know we have some in my city, and you can volunteer there.
