Doesn't matter. They are both cult cars. Each one has it's following. So the question is, what are you? Are you a VW or a mini kind of a guy????
They are both good cars and I can't say one is better than the other. It's which one do you like better.

Mini's are more "manly" than beetles are and they definitley have huge potential as far as aftermarket parts go. With a Mini being as small as it is, if modded properly could go FAST! I would take a cooper over a beetle any given day.

The older VWs are very easy to maintain. I can take my engine down to bare block, shine the pistons up and drive away in 5 hours.
