because of the nature of religion. I'm right, you are wrong, that is why i am trying to convert you. I don't have anything to learn from you but you have alot to learn from me. If you notice how people "of faith" are. There is no talking to them, there is no reasoning with them because they have shut off that part of their brain. Anything and everything will lead back to why their religion is the best. It's like talking to someone with headphones and loud music. nothing goes in but ironically they expect you to listen to them and if you don't, you are wrong for "shutting out the truth"
and no i disagree with the answers that say it's a tell me about your and i will tell you about mine. That's not true. people looking to convert you believe that they have the truth and you can tell them all you want, they may or maynot listen but they will not absorb it because they theink they are right and they are trying to save you from the religion you are talking to them about

I like to hear about NEW religions - that I haven't learned about yet. Just yesterday I learned about Jainism. Fascinating! You can tell me all about yours if you'd like. I already know quite a bit about Christianity, Catholocism, Islam, and Buddhist. And I'm a Religious Scientist - so of course I know a lot about it. (But not many people do!)
I'd be happy for you to share your religion with me!
Namaste!

it extremely isn't genuine. I certainly have had discussions with human beings from many non secular backgrounds, and experience listening to their innovations. I besides the fact that am a bought out follower of Christ and that i share that with them.

Religions can't survive without donations i.e. converts. It's a business, just like any other. Sales is what drives profits.

You're right but that will never happen. People who want to talk about their religion and not theirs are trying to convert you and steal your free will.

Maybe because they believe theirs is oh so right and whatever you beleive is not. And so they wish to convert you, that's their secret plan by talking to you and telling you about their religion.... they're secretly trying to convert you! scream "Satan!" and run!

Because Jesus instructed his followers to go and preach the good news of the Kingdom. The Kingdom being God and the heavens. When people feel strongly about their religion that is all they want to talk about.
