How can I run a .exe File on a Macintosh?

I would like to install and run a ".exe" file on my iMac Intel computer, but I am unaware on how to do so. I need it for free, or for a very little amount of money. Please help me out!

You probably already know you can't run an ".exe" file on a Mac without MS Windows. You can get programs like "Parallells" to run Windows under Mac OS, or you can actually buy Windows for an Intel Mac these days, but that's the limit.
