I met this guy and really like him so far but feel selfconcious because we are the same height and when I wear any type of shoe I am a little taller. Do people look at couples funny when the girl is taller than the guy?

Why let a little thing like his height get in the way? I think if people make you feel self-conscious then try to ignore them.
If you have a good time with the guy then go for it!!!!!!!
I think most people are so engrossed with themselves that they don't really notice other prople that much.

Of course it's fine! I don't see anything wrong with it. How tall he is should not matter, as long as he has a great personality. I do know, however, that it can be kind of enticing to want a taller boyfriend because usually girls go for the "taller" guys. I don't think that people look at couples in a funny way because the girl is taller either. It shouldn't matter, anyways. It's only what you think.

Of course it's ok to date a guy shorter than you. If you really care about him, don't worry about height or what other people think. Some people may look at couples funny when the boy is shorter, but that's probably just because they are desperate themselves and have nothing better to do. Just hang in there...

There is no problem with dating a guy shorter than you. Don't worry about what other people think and pay no attention when people look at you as a couple. The only thing that matters is how the two of you feel about it.

Been there, done that, and I'm 5'11". I once dated a girl that was 5"9" and in heels was an inch or so taller than me. Its no biggie. Hey you like a guy who likes you back, and you obviously think he's cute. He cant help being short. Its the same as if he had a small pecker, or you had small chi chi's, thats human physiology.

I am a short man (5'6") and I don't care if she is taller than me. And if I don't care, and she doesn't care, why should anyone else. It's YOUR relationship.
You wouldn't let anyone tell you what to wear, how to spend your free time, or what work to do. Why let them decide how you feel about a short guy?

It all depends on personal preference. Some girls like shorter guys, while some girls like taller guys. I prefer taller guys. Although one of my friends likes shorter guys.

my brother has always dated girls taller than him and nobody looked at him or her funny. so i think if you really like him and he likes you, then it shouldn't matter what other people think. don't let what other people think make you lose out on what could possibly be a good thing.

What?!? Of course it is!!!! YOu would be very mean to turn down a guy that you like but wouldn't date him because of his size!!! Think of Bradd Pitt and Angelina Joline! She 2ft taller than him and they got happily married! I hope that you will reconsider what you've been thinking!

My best friends finance is about a foot and a half taller then he is and they are perfectly happy. Looks shouldn't matter either.
