Naturally, you want your baby to have the biggest bash ever but heres reality.
She dosent care much for the guests, the presents or even the cake. She will probably be passed out before its all done. A home party is fine. Maybe buy one f those ball pits or go to the park and blow bubbles. Keep it cheap, simple.

Honestly, I would say keep it simple.

One year olds (as you know) can be rather fussy and you run a big risk of taking her somewhere. Chances are you will end up spending a lot of money and time and really getting in to it and your daughter would have had just as much (or more) fun if she had been at home and able to play with all her new toys.

We had my son's 1st party at his nana's house and it was perfect. I didn't have to worry about when he would run around; I knew everything was childproof. I didn't have to worry about him throwing a fit or crying and ruining other people's good times or parties because there was no one there that wasn't there for him.

She will not remember this, but you will...if you stress too much over it (and we all know it can be stressful when you're in public with your little ones), it won't be as happy of a memory. HAVE FUN!

OMG!!! In the Milwaukee area!!! (yea) How about BayView?? I JUST had my daughters 1st B-day at Bella's Fat Cat on K.K. there and we just had Ice Cream and Cake. They have a separate party room with video games and tv's (for the adults). All we had to pay for was the Ice Cream / Soda, and the room (I think it was $25 for the room) we brought our own cake...I cant remember if they charged us for bringing the cake or not. But the whole thing cost us $92.00! We had a total of 15 adults and 5 kids. It was awesome! We told everybody that it was just cake & Ice cream so everybody showed up we blew out the candles, opened presents, had cake & Ice Cream and it was only about 2 hrs! Great because she had the time of her life and didnt miss nap time! The manager's name is Mike but everyone there is VERY helpful!! Hope you check it out!
GOOD-LUCK!!! :)
ps....We have a small place so we wanted to make it simple. I know my daughter wont remember her 1st bday...but WE will!! Take a load of Momma...let them do the cleaning!! Remember to ENJOY it and take tons of pics!!! :)

I can't really think of a place, we had our sons first birthday party in the backyard (BBQ, cake, ice cream, presents). The most important thing is to not go over the top.

Over stimulating your one year old can be a HUGE mistake. They will get cranky and the fun birthday party you had planned will turn into a cranky time.

Don't waste the time, money, and effort on an expensive party at like Chucky Cheese or McDonald's. A child that age won't even understand what a birthday is. I agree with everyone else...home party.

Congralutions you have a one yr old. I guess the best place to me would be to have her party at home. The kids can just as much fun and enjoy themselves just fine. And you can save some money.

ever heard of K.I.S.S.???
it stands for Keep It Simple Stupid...

when you have a one year old, you're going to learn fast that this is the best way to be.

small party, friends and family, cake, ice cream presents. the end. there's no sense i games, because the star of the show can't play.

She's one years old, I suggest just having it at home with friends. Keep it simple.
