Hi,
It used to be a place called Pete's Pizza on Western Ave. between Irving Park Rd. and Addison St. I lived in Chicago for 20 years and that's the best place I've found.

You're getting nothing but the big chains and they are FAR from the best in Chicago. Malnati's in particular is wretched.

Leona's is the best in Chicago. It's a smaller chain, but they're not far from any part of the city. The sauce and crust are excellent (much better than the over-thick pan crusts at the big chains and the over-sweet sauce at Malnatis). They also don't skimp on the cheese or toppings.

Oh by far it would be Lou Malnati's!!! They have the best deep dish pizza! My bf and I have taken so many people there that are out of staters and that is all the talk about and want to go when they come to the suburbs. They are all over the place. For sure there is one in naperville and the city~!~!

Lou Malnati's only if you order one or two ingredients (like Sausage and/or Pepperoni)

Giodano's if you like pizza with multiple ingredients. A fellow co-worker loves pineapple, ham, green peppers, and onions on their thin crust. It's pretty good. Green olives, pepperoni, and onions Chicago Style is good too.

So for me, it depends on what you want on your pizza, but Lou's and Giodano's are the two best.

It looks like either Home Run Inn or Lou Malnati's is a great choice, but here's a list of some other possibilities so you can figure out which one sounds good to you.

Connie's pizza....but do their store on the south side...located at 2373 S. Archer in Chicago.

Just 3 blocks east of Halsted between Halsted and Canal.

I love Girodano's. I like Edwardo's stuffed spinach and Malnati's makes a KILLER buttercrust personal pizza that is to die for.

I would say Gino' East Pizza, especially if you like the crust, it buttery, crusty on the outside, and nice and soft on the inside.
