Because God speaks latin. Duh! ;) Seriously, the original bible was not a bible per se. The collection of writings that eventually became what we now call the Bible is from a variety of different sources from around the ancient world. Many of the stories where likely originally written in ancient Sumerian and Egyptian. Other portions may have been in local tongues and later translated into what Hebrew was about 2600 years again, and then again about 2200 years ago. Old Hebrew writing from ancient times bares almost no similarity to what is considered Hebrew in classical to modern times. So, your question, being a joke (I assume) is more loaded then you prolly expected. :)

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew and some Aramaic all the way to Matthew. Mark and subsequent books were originally written in Greek. A Latin translation came later.

God wasn't there at the time. He still had a tremendous backlog. He had been working with the human race for 3 1/2 million years before the hebrews came on the scene. The hebrews didn't know how to write greek. So, they would just sit around and try to copy all the greek stories and mythology beliefs in the language of the day. Then later, when the Christians didn't go along with all that hebrew chit, they wrote down what they wanted to believe in latin.

They did not. The original writers of Scripture each wrote in their own languages, usually Aramaic or Hebrew, with some Chaldean thrown in (in Daniel). The Old Testament wasn't translated into anything other than Hebrew until the production of the Septuigent, just before the turn of the epochs. It was the work of 70 Jewish scholars, who labored over the text just to translate it into Koine Greek.
The Vulgate, or Latin, translation of the Old and New Testaments, came a few centuries later! Before that, most of the scriptures (especially in the NT) existed in Koine Greek (the common language of the day).

One of the early four bibles was translated in the old italic language, by the Waldenses.
". . down through the centuries there were only two streams of manuscripts. The first stream which carried the Received Text in Hebrew and Greek, began with the Apostolic churches, and reappearing at intervals down the Christian Era among enlightened believers, was protected by the wisdom and scholarship of the pure church in her different phases; by such as the church at Pella in Palestine where the Christians fled, when in 70 A.D. the Romans destroyed Jerusalem; by the Syrian Church of Antioch which produced eminent scholarship; by the Italic Church in northern Italy; and also at the same time by the Gallic Church in southern France and by the Celtic Church in Great Britain; by the pre-Waldensian, the Waldensian, and the churches of the Reformation. This first stream appears, with very little change, in the Protestant Bibles of many languages, and in English, in that Bible known as the King James Version, the one which has been in use for three hundred years in the English speaking world."

Actually, they didn't.
The original texts of the OT were written in Hebrew.
In the Greek times they were translated into Greek, which was called the Septuagint.
In Roman times, the NT was written in Greek.
It wasn't until a few centuries after the coming Christ that the original Hebrew and Greek were translated into what is now called the Latin Vulgate, which is what Catholics use to translate their version of the Bible.

Since the Bible was written by many men over a period covering 1500 years, and since the last author of the Bible has been dead 1900 years, there were definite problems in understanding the exact meaning of certain passages of the Bible. The Bible is the infallible, inerrantly inspired Word of God and interpreted from Aramaic, Greek and Hebrew in one of the most careful interpretations ever undertook in all of history. Today it is read in over 1200 languages.

There is a portion of biblical times when everyone spoke the same language, there were no different nationalities. They spoke in an entirely different language called "the language of humanity". And then they began to try to build a tower to find God. They wanted to see what Heaven was like, so they built and built. Then god saw that they were working so hard and nothing was being accomplished (cause heaven is not reachable except by death) God then decided that the only way to stop them was to hinder their speaking to each other. And, in The Bible this is where we all began to speak different languages, and of course the people who understood each other migrated together to form different countries. And different climates and weather is what made the people from different languages start to evolve into different races. For example it is HOT in Africa, so that is how dark skin developed, it is somewhat hot in Arabia so a lighter dark skin was developed, and so forth, in cold countries people got whiter. So in actuality we were all derived from the same race, and racism shouldn't exist, because we are all children of God. *oh to answer the first part of you question, where the garden of Eden was at is in that part of the world that speaks Latin, the language of humanity*
