I hope this will help you:

7–9 months old: your baby is ready for more variety and different textures. You can add protein-rich foods like finely ground or pureed meats and poultry, mashed beans, mashed tofu, and plain whole milk yogurt. A typical serving size for a baby this age is 2 to 4 tablespoons of a food.

What to feed the baby 8-12 months old:

When your baby can sit up without help, you can start giving him finger foods so he can learn to feed himself. Finger foods may be soft cooked vegetables cut into bite-sized pieces or other foods that are soft and do not require any chewing. As teeth begin to come in, you can give him foods with more texture, including soft chopped meats, well-cooked vegetables, pasta, and pieces of soft fruit. A typical serving for a baby this age is 2 to 4 tablespoons of a mashed or chopped food. It’s a good idea to serve his meals with other members of the family present, so he gets accustomed to the social aspects of mealtime.

Suggested amounts:

Breastmilk or Formula: 24 ounces 3–4 feedings
Cereal: 4–8 tablespoons 2 meals
Fruits: 4–8 tablespoons 2 meals
Fruit Juice (optional): 4 ounces 1 serving
Vegetables: 4–8 tablespoons 2 meals
Protein foods: 4–6 tablespoons 2 meals

There are two main goals of feeding a 6–12 month old baby:

1: He needs to learn eating skills (e.g. swallowing, chewing, feeding himself). The best way to teach him is to feed him a variety of foods so he gets used to the mechanics of eating, different textures and a wide spectrum of flavors.

2: He needs to thrive physically and developmentally. He needs specific nutrients and adequate calories to grow properly. How will you know if he is getting enough calories (but not too many)? The best indication will be if his growth is following a reasonable growth curve, as charted by your pediatrician at regular check-ups. If your baby's doctor is not concerned about too little or too much weight gain, chances are his calorie intake is just fine.

Good luck! :-)

I have an 8 month old daughter and shes not a fan of the green veggies either. Currently to get her eating meats she LOVES the Gerber Stage 2 Turkey and Sweet Potatoes. She also likes the Chicken and Apples. Wait a little while and try the green veggies. His tastebuds should mature and he'll get a taste for it.

Good Luck!

Just give him time, my little girl is 19 months and just started eating meat, her doctor said its normal, they don't like the texture! Just make sure he gets plenty of bean beans (my baby calls them) pinto beans, kidny beans and great northern beans in the slow cook, bam there's a meal meant sub! LOL have fun!
