I started drinking at 5pm last week and I couldn't get drunk or maintain the buzz.
What time should I start drinking and how do I maintain it if I want to stay drunk till 1/2am or later.

You guys are lame, stop judging and offer advice not criticism! I've worked in bars for many years and know all the tricks. To all those who say "wasted life" or anything else, I am an avid volunteer, mensa member, and a loving wife and mother. I do, however, get drunk sometimes on weekends. To answer the question:
Drink on a mostly empty stomach
Drink hard liquor (I like rum + diet tall, no calories or carbs)
Drink shots, jager bombs (drop shot - jager + 1/3 can of red bull) get me drunk very quickly
Drink fast
If you really don't feel a buzz yet, mix your liquors (wine, beer, hard liquor) that should be a sure bet
DON'T drive - cabs are cheap, lives are not.
That said, don't listen to the haters, and have fun!

Why would you want to get drunk? It's not cool at all. It damages every organ in your body. One drink a week will keep your body healthy. If you want to know what it looks like to be drunk, do not drink too much. I've looked through 'drunk goggles' (which is the sight you see when you are drunk) and it is blurry, makes me dizzy, and is not a good sight. Purchase them at ebay to see.

I usually start with beer when I get home (Miller Lite), from 530pm to about 8pm, then I throw a shot of vodka into the mix, then another beer, a shot, a few more beers.

u have a high tolerance to alcohol...you may never get the buzz or the drunkness you want...but if you drink too much you could get alcohol poisoning...and to prevent hangovers drink water...since dehydration is the main cause of hangovers...

Too much alcohol can lead to alcohol poisoning. People can die from that.
