I am taking it before a class presentation. Usually I get so nervous that I can hardly talk.

You probably should only take 0.25 to 0.5 mg to begin with. Some people take a full 1 mg, but it may make you to groggy to do your presentation. You may need to begin with 0.25 mg first and if you don't feel relaxed after 30 to 45 minutes, take an additional 0.25 mg.

1) take only what is says on the bottle... I'm assuming that the doc prescribed it for you.
2) There are better ways to deal with this. The best? kareoke nite. Yes... go, have a few glasses of liquid courage if you are over 21, and get up there and sing. If you're underage, go to a kareoke deal where there's no booze and sing anyway. Don't worry, honey, it's kareoke... everyone sucks, and it will make your nerves better for public speaking.
