I don't carry a hanky or tissues but I always carry a handkerchief.

No I rarely sneeze and usually am able to get to the gent's to use a bit of paper.
It is a rebellion against my mum who always packed me off to school with one--before I was old enough to resist.
As others have said it is a bit gross with all the nasties that could grow, and I would want to wash hands after handling a cloth one anyway.
It is possible that when people carried them in the past, the germ thing was not well known. My Dad and grandparents always carried one, and use it.

I'd carry a hankie if attending a wedding or funeral for those tearjerker moments, but otherwise I'd carry tissues , cause they are disposable.

Yes. It's cool to help someone if they have a runny nose. Of course, they get to keep the hankie, but so what? You just hooked yourself up with a good deed!
Real cheap packs at Wal-Mart.

hankie, Doesn't leave the lint on your face and you not know it. Absorbs better too. Usually carry 3 at a time.

Both- in purse. Tissues for the nose & then throw it away. Handkerchiefs for other useful things like makeup, washing hands, drying something, eating napkin, tears, cleaning up messes, etc., etc. (Also, I carry a small spray bottle of water.)
