Many theist assume that god is real, their holy book is his/her word and that he/her told the truth. But what if god lied? What if god is playing whit you? It would make more sense than saying god is benevolent who gave the world the bible/other holy book as a guide to life. If you created the universe would you create it all perfect for everyone or would you make a little planet in the corner to play with?

Because he can't. "He" is not capable of lying or deception because "he" does not exist. His words are our words, as he is creation of man. Thus the words may be wrong, of course, as with any book. There are no God(s) and *no* other mystical or supernatural elements (heavens, hells, angels, gnomes...).

All inclusive truth includes telling lies as lies, but lies have absolutely no existence on their own since they are self contradictory. If anything is found to be self contradictory in reality it is nothing, and to claim it God is fruitless madness. Therefore the God I believe must conform to veritable reality, including the ones I don't know and have yet to investigate, but that doesn't mean its not God.

For there to be any distinguishing between one and other, variation must exist, and this is a perfection of degrees, and the proud say they are best, but its merely arbitrary distinctions as all are merely evidences of one indivisible reality. Multiplicity can't exist in absolute terms as it would require self contradictory emanations to be equal to their source, i.e. the engendered being equal to the genderless source, which when compiled together is equal to non-existence by comparison.

Perfection in degrees is the best that which isn't all inclusive can know, therefore we develop thru these degrees, and by that growth have a sense of achievement, of overcoming, of good, without which everything would be arbitrary and meaningless.

God bless.

Oh my goodness, you seriously need the Lord. God has put His truth into the minds of men and women alike and it is pretty obvious that the world didn't appear. Give me one thing that in the presence of NOTHING, SOMETHING could appear. 1 thing. Can a canvas paint itself, I think not. Can a woman sing without a voice box? You answer. Everything is possible with God, except for one thing. It is impossible for God to go Dark. I you're living like there's no God, you'd BETTER be right. May God bless you.

because Truth is pretty much the definition of God. Thus, if we thought that God told us something, and it turned out to be a lie, the only conclusion that one could make is that the message we received was not in fact from God, but from some impostor.

It's the same way that we know that a horse is not a frog in that the definition of a horse precludes that it is not a frog. The definition of God precludes that God is not a liar.

My thesis all along. Cause how did we not know that everything that has been made up on that deals with Bible stories is really for real? I alwas question what church authorities have been telling me. Nevertheless, I make my own believe system, I know what's good, what's right and what is wrong. I hope that more people are asking questions rather than following what church authorities are dictating to us.

My idea of God does not include lies. Who knows for sure about the bible, but God didn't write the bible.

I cant say he is lying as I have neither spoken to or heard the voice of god. My idea is that the bible was created by man as a means of control of the masses.

I always though that if there was such a thing as a god. But we know better there isn't. That this planet was an experiment gone wrong and that it was forgetting about it.
