active X is a cookie based script that loads from your browser. The ability to use this is already installed into IE6 and higher, and I believe IE5 has an upgrade you can download to work with them.

If the site requires you to use an active X control to view the page, simply click on the yellow bar that pops up just beneath the address bar in Internet Explorer.
