Katz's - the best pastrami in the world; you can get real club bread here.

For me, it is Carnegie Deli on 55th Street and Seventh Avenue.
A lot of celebrities have eaten there and you can see their signed photos all over the walls.
They are famous for their Pastrami sandwich and their cheesecake.

I've heard good things about Katz's Deli. There has to be a reason Rob Reiner thought it was good enough to use in "When Harry Met Sally."

What a question, the Carnegie deli of course. Of course you have to bring along one hell of a roll of cash as they don't take credit cards, and nothing is cheap, but boy is it worth it.

when you say deli , you must be thinking of great corned beef or pastrami type foods, go to the Carnegie,,, or the Stage delis.... both moderate priced, excellent selections and maybe you will see some actors and actresses...goodluck, oh bring your tums!

My husband and son went to Carnegie also. This was after they had a big Italian meal before they saw The Grinch. They ate the whole thing! It was funny...this was their first trip to NYC so my husband was taking pictures of everything they ate. One customer in a restaurant asked my husband if he was a food critic! For those of you who live there.. my husband said everyone there in the city was extremely friendly.
