Trust should have come along with the relationship. If there isn't any there won't be a relationship for very long.

Sweetheart that's not called protective.. it's called jealous.
It's dangerous and a really large red flag of worse things to come. Most abusers start out as overly protective, jealous partners who verbally abuse and mentally bully you into doing ...well nothing pretty much. The problem is not him trusting you, it's him wanting to control you. There is nothing you can do about it and I really suggest that unless he is willing to get therapy for his jealous need to control you, you get away from him before it becomes violent.

It only gets worse from here.
There is nothing you can do to get him to trust you. There are no words you can say, there is no thing you could that would make him say "whew, now I can trust her - ket's get on with our lives".
This is who he is, and no matter what other fabulous qualities he has - THIS IS WHO HE IS!
It only gets worse from here.
The only soluton is for you to show him the door so he can "go out and find a good woman that he can trust - cause it ain't you!".
Best wishes.

Sit him down, tell him how you feel and if he really loves you he will understand. Tell him to loosen up and that the only love in your life now is him.
Good Luck

i don't think that's "protective"...i think he's a control freak!...he likes to have control over everything that's why people like that always want to know everything you do and why...just talk to him about it..let him know that his attitude is very uncomfortable and he needs to learn how to respect you space and if he truly loves he will understand.

You say protective, it sounds like he is possessive. There is nothing you can do. Make sure which it is and be careful.

I don't think PROTECTIVE is the word. More like CONTROLLING and INSECURE!
This is a RED flag if you don't control it now!
Best wishes!
